Lifestyle Change Counselling

Our lifestyle has a great impact on our health. Most of us know this; still we find it difficult to change our habits. It is absolutely understandable, if you feel like this. If you are thinking about changing something in your life but you do not know how to start it; or you have started it but got stuck, you can come and talk about it. First you can tell me what you need help with, then we will refine your aim, and we develop how your aim can be achieved. If you are ready to change, we will make concrete plans. If you are not ready yet, it is completely all right.

  • you want to do physical activities more often,
  • you want to change your eating habits,
  • you want to lose weight,
  • or you want to change any other habits,

but you do not know how to start it, what to do, and how to keep the results for a long time.

It is important however, that in connection with diet and psysical activity I can give you practical methods and counsels based on the general guidelines, but as I am not a dietitian or a coach, I cannot give you a concrete regimen.

How long does this counselling programme take?

This programme consists of six sessions and three follow-up sessions. On the first session we will discuss the aim of your visit, then we will make your aim more concrete and we will develop how your aim can be achieved. On the following five sessions I will guide you through the change process. During the whole counselling process we will discuss practical methods which help you change, I will guide you and pay attention to your progress and also support you, as this road is usually not really easy. As lifestyle change maintenance is crucial, there is a follow-up session one, three and six months after the last session.


The first three consultations last the usual consultation time (50 minutes). After this you can decide if you need the usual 50-minute session or the short (25-minute) consultation is enough for you. The follow-up consultations last 25 minutes, but they can be longer, if you need it. The consultations take place every week, if it is possible. The time between two sessions can be longer or shorter than a week if you want, but no more than three weeks can pass between two sessions. This relatively strict system is needed as it will hopefully help you with successfully changing your lifestyle.

The first interview may last two 50-minute sessions if it is necessary, and also you can have more consultations, if you feel you need this. Counselling focuses on the aim we agreed on. If some other problems appear, either we can start a separate consultation about them or I can recommend a colleague who is an expert on the given field.

Very often it is easier to change if you are not alone but together with your family members. In this case it is possible to have the first session together, but the other consultations will be separate with everybody, so that counselling can be personalised. Normally if more family members want to take part in this kind of counselling, only an in-person consultation is possible, but since now personal sessions are not possible, also this session can be online. The following sessions can - normally - be either personal or online consultations.

How can I cancel the consultation?

You can cancel the consultation 24 hours before its scheduled time. If you cancel it later, unfortunately you will have to pay for that session. But similarly, if I cancel the session within 24 hours then your next session is free of charge.

How much does this counselling cost?

In person:

a 50-minute consultation: 12,000 HUF

a 25-minute consultation: 8,000 HUF

An online consultation:

a 50-minute consultation: 11,000 HUF

a 25-minute consultation: 7,000 HUF

A consultation with more family members:

A 50-minute first consultation: 16,000 HUF

a 50-minute or a 25-minute consultation: separately with each family member; see the previous prices.

These prices include VAT. During the coronavirus pandemic I offer 10% discount on online consultation fees.
